The Program
The Irish Life Experience is a 25-day cultural academic program offered to American and Canadian teenagers. Consisting of an assortment of classes, workshops, and tours based in three locations throughout Ireland, its purpose is to introduce North American students to the essential characteristics and qualities of Irish life. By being immersed in Ireland's history and culture, young adults are able to better understand and appreciate a country whose people have played a significant role in the history of western civilization.
- Classes
Students will spend approximately 50 hours in classes, which will cover Gaelic, Irish History, Irish American History, Irish Studies, Literature, Drama, and Dance. - Workshops
Students will participate in over 10 hours of organized workshops, including introductions to Gaelic Football, Irish Music, and Scone Baking. - Tours
See the true beauty of Ireland through organized tours to the Blarney Castle, Kilmainham Gaol, Cahir Castle, Cork, Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Bridge, Dan O'Hara's Cottage, Kylemore Abbey, the Aran Islands, The Burren, and more! - Campuses/Accommodations
Stay and study at the historical campuses of Ireland, including Newtown School in Waterford, King's Hospital in Dublin, and the newer Gort na Coiribe in Galway. - Inclusions and Prices
